The desk

Editorial policy

The principles behind the desk: context, clarity, provenance, and room for correction.

The desk aims to make useful work easier to understand. We write in a clear, practical voice and keep a visible distinction between observation, interpretation, and advice.

Claims and sources

Specific claims are checked against a source, a document, or a clearly described observation. When a detail is uncertain, the wording stays cautious. We do not create numbers, quotes, people, credentials, or experiences to make a page sound more authoritative.

People and context

Stories are framed around work and ideas, not private data. We avoid exposing sensitive details and do not treat displacement, migration, or professional difficulty as a decorative plot device.

Corrections

Corrections are welcome by email. We record what changed and why when a material correction affects a page's meaning. The about page explains the desk's scope, and the contact page gives the direct line.
